Councillor Syeda Khatun, Sandwell Council’s deputy leader, said: “Our libraries always put on a fantastic range of activities for children and families during the school holidays and I would encourage people to pop along to their local library to enjoy what’s on offer this half-term.”
Several libraries – Blackheath, Cradley Heath, Oakham, Stone Cross and Wednesbury – will also be running Cereal Readers sessions on weekday mornings during library opening hours where children can have a free bowl of cereal and a glass of fruit juice before sharing a story and taking part in a book-related activity.
