An alternative country-blues band fronted by international best-selling author R. J. Ellory and former ELO man Martin Smith will be putting on their first ever Midlands gig at a Sandwell library.
The Whiskey Poets will be performing at Blackheath Library on Saturday 10 February at 7pm. Doors open 6.30pm.
This will be the band’s first ever gig in the Midlands and Roger, who lives in Birmingham, said: “We felt it was very appropriate to play in a library that has supported me as a writer for many years.”
Tickets for the event, which also includes a fish/sausage and chips meal and a licensed bar, cost £8 for adults and £3 for children. Without the meal they cost £5 for adults and children are free.
