Education at the Valley
Sandwell Valley Country Park offers an exciting variety of educational activities to visiting school groups.
Our education programme can be tailored to suit any requirements, such as river study, a visit to our Victorian farm and Walled Kitchen Gardens, mini-beast hunts and much more.
Activities are dependant on the season and usually run between March and September. We also run garden tours, planting activities and finding out about how things grow in the greenhouses.
All the activities are led by trained staff and have been risk assessed.
The visitor centres can cater for unguided visits at all times of the year, with much of the attraction interpreted with posters, maps and leaflets. We recommend that you contact us in advance of your unguided visit so that we can do our best to ensure a successful trip.
There is ample parking for coaches, a dedicated ‘study room’, hand-washing facitilities as well as refreshments and gift shops.
