Virtual Heritage Open Days with Sandwell Museums

Our sites remain closed as we plan a phased reopening of our activities and buildings.
So this year for National Heritage Open Days you can join us online for character videos, tours, peeps behind the scenes, history vids, blogs, pictures and more. Bromwich Hall stories – Meet some of the occupants of Bromwich Hall, learn about its fascinating history, enjoy photos and some of the things which staff think make it a fantastic and important building. Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th
Oak House Stories – Explore the Oak House as we tell you about this amazing 17th century house and the Turton family who lived there through blogs, videos, tours and more. Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th September
Haden Hill Stories – Discover Haden Old Hall and Haden Hill House as well as the landscape they sit in with our videos, blogs and information and some pics of the family in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Friday 18th September and Saturday 19th September
The inside out museum – Download our tour of Haden Hill park and explore some of the interesting historical features as well as our houses from the outside. We’ll also be posting some information boards on the windows of the house so you can learn more! You can download and print off a tour from our facebook page from Sunday 13th or from www.sandwell.gov.uk/joininmuseums from Monday 14th.
Bishop Asbury Cottage – the tiny cottage with the big story – Take our virtual tour and enjoy blogs and information about this little cottage with a place in world history! Sunday 20th September.
