Forge Mill Farm is open to visitors!

We are open from 10am to 3pm daily. All visitors to the farm should purchase tickets in advance for a ‘2-hour visit’ allocated time slot! Check out our FAQs below.

Forge Mill Farm Car Park is at B71 3SZ. We recommend you follow directions to Forge Mill Car Park rather than Forge Mill Farm on Google Maps!

Our farmyard has been laid out with a one-way system to enable everyone to stay safe and adhere to social distancing measures. Please follow the directions marked on the floors and signs.

Our animals are looking forward to seeing you again. You can feed them by purchasing a bag of food from the shop when you arrive.

Q) What is open?
A) Forge Mill farm, shop, picnic area and toilets. The animals can’t wait to see you again!

Q) Is car parking included in the ticket price?
A) The e-ticket is valid for entry to Forge Mill only.

Q) Can I just turn up?
A) A limited number of tickets may be available on the gate if the slot has not sold out online. Call 0121 588 7210 in the morning to find out about available slots for that day. This is not guaranteed and we strongly advise you book your tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment.

Q) Can I stay as long as I want?
A) You can stay for up to two hours within the farm. This is so we can monitor our visitor numbers and keep everyone safe. At the end of your visit, please make your way to the exit. After your visit, enjoy the rest of Sandwell Valley Country Park!

Q) Can I come in and out of the farm/shop?
A) There will be a one way system in place. Please adhere to it and don’t forget to have a browse in our shop when you pass through. We have some lovely items for sale.

Q) Do I have to wear a mask?
A) Masks must be worn in the shop at all times.

Q) Can I just use the toilets?
A) Unfortunately, the toilets are for visitors to the farm only.

Q) Can we bring a picnic?
A) There is a small picnicking areas beside the shop but feel free to take your picnic to areas around the rest of Sandwell Valley Country Park!

Q) What if I can’t make my time slot and turn up late?
A) The time slots are to be adhered to and cannot be changed.

Q) Are the tickets non-refundable?
A) Cancellations are non-refundable and unchangeable unless the farm closes due to a Covid-related lockdown.

Q) What if I can’t get a ticket?
A) Tickets are subject to availability. We are re-opening with limited numbers. Please keep checking back as we will open up more slots and dates as we are able to.

Q) What if I can’t come on the date/time I booked?
A) Tickets are only valid for the specified chosen time when booking.

Q) When will ticket sales close?
A) You will be able to get tickets up until midnight on the day before your visit.

Q) How many tickets can I buy?
A) You are allowed to buy tickets for up to 6 individuals per transaction as per the Rule of 6 guidance from the government.

Q) When will tickets be released to purchase?
A) Tickets will be on sale a week before the arrival date. Keep checking back as we add more dates!

Q) Are children allowed in unaccompanied?
A) No. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q) Can I feed the animals?
A) Yes! Animal feed will be available to purchase. Hand wash stations will be available across the site.

Q) Is the playground open?
A) Not yet! The playground area is closed off for your safety.

Q) Can I be refused entry?
A) Sandwell Council reserves the right to refuse people entry if they are not behaving in a suitable manner or adhering to rules.

Q) What if the farm closes or cancels?
A) Sandwell council reserves the right to cancel any opening and/or events.

Q) Do carers come in for free?
A) Yes. Any visitor who is able to show proof of being registered as having a disability may bring one carer with them for a visit free of charge.
