LGBT+ History Month Walk with Pride

Join us at Sandwell Valley for our LGBT+ History month Walk with Pride.

Our walk starts at 10.30am on Saturday 23rd February from Sandwell Park Farm where we will have music and entertainment, face painting and a gloriously decorated courtyard.

The walk (which is dog friendly) will then meander across the Showground and around Dartmouth Park passing three new permanent rainbow benches and six stations with QR codes. Here walkers can scan the code using their phones to find out more about LGBT+ history including a link to a musical performance from a local reenactor, reviving the songs of West Bromwich’s famous Drag King, Bessie Bonehill.

The walk will finish back at Sandwell Park Farm at 12.30pm where walkers will receive a medal and other giveaways and can enjoy family craft activities and other entertainment.

Visitors are then encouraged to join us in West Bromwich High Street where we will be continue the family celebrations during the afternoon with face painting, balloon modelling, circus skills and even a music production studio where you can record your own MP3 and have it professionally mixed.
