You've been listening to music from Coneygre Youth Arts Centre!

These four performers have grown up at Coneygre Youth Arts Centre and now perform regularly across the region!

Bethany A

My name is Bethany A. I am an original artist from the Midlands and am coming out with my very first album in 2022. You can find my music on all platforms just by simply typing in Bethany A.

Lockdown definitely hasn’t been easy, but I always like to look on the positive side of life. Although I have struggled I know I am not alone and we are all in this together. It won’t be forever now live your best life with no regrets!

I have written the songs you have heard me sing in the Music Missed project. They are:

  • Sinking Deep
  • Play Cold
  • Sinner

Emily Badger

I’m currently in my final year at University doing Accounting and Finance, as well as this I perform on Midlands, South Staffordshire, Worcester and Birmingham entertainment councils together with pubs and private functions. During lockdown I have missed performing every weekend and I can’t wait until I can get back to doing what I love.

For the Music Missed project, I have recorded:

  • Before He Cheats
  • Listen
  • Saving all my love for you

James Wythes

I’ve been singing for over 10 years and professionally now for over 7 years.
Being in lockdown has effected me massively as it means I’ve not been able to perform for a live audience now since October and barely at all since last March. I’ve missed everything about it from performing in new venues and getting the buzz of the audience, people not being able to dance at gigs has been really strange and is a thing I can’t wait to get back. I’ve missed seeing and collaborating with other artists as well as my trio J.M.S, I’m really excited to performing with them again when lockdown ends.

You will hear me sing these songs in Dartmouth Park:

  • Feeling Good
  • Everlasting
  • Bloodstream

Hollie Aston-Baugh

I am a 19-year-old student currently doing a degree in applied theatre.

I have always loved singing and performing.

When I was 17, I entered the Sandwell youth Shape Your Talent contest and was lucky enough to become runner up performing a modern jazz song. This led to being regularly invited to sing at several local events and festivals.

Unfortunately, because of lockdown this all stopped, and my university course switched to being online. In all honesty this has felt a bit isolating, and I have really missed performing. I cannot wait for things to get back to normal and look forward to the day I can get back onto a stage.

I have recorded these songs for the Music Missed project:

  • My Funny
  • Wonderful World
  • Misty
