The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022
Sandwell Celebrations and Activity

NACO Civic Leaders Tree Planting -

Civic Leaders across the United Kingdom planted trees to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on the same day (March 10, 2022) – the seventieth day of the year in which The Queen marks the seventieth anniversary of her accession. The Queen’s Tree in Sandwell was planted along with plaque to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee in Dartmouth Park by Sandwell Council Deputy Mayor, Councillor Richard Jones, along with Deputy Lord Lieutenant Gurpreet Bassia. A Monteray Cypress “Goldcrest” was planted to mark the occasion and this will become a specimen tree forming a unique element to the park’s tree canopy.
