This week we have been celebrating the wildlife and wild spaces of Sandwell.
Our Borough is an important green corridor for a number of rare and endangered species.
Our nature reserves are places where flora and fauna thrives. They contain meadows, woodlands, ponds, streams, rivers and lakes. Some of them have been reclaimed from their hardworking industrial pasts to become the havens we see today.
They are also important green spaces where people from inside and outside of the area can enjoy walking, cycling and a multitude of other healthy activities in the fresh air.
As part of the week, we have been taking some photographs to showcase just how beautiful some of our spaces are looking at the moment. Here are just a few. You can see lots more images along with activities and spotter guides on our Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/DiscoverSandwell
