Today is World Rangers Day when we celebrate the rangers who work hard across the world to protect, restore and enhance our natural environments and outdoor cultural heritage. Here in Sandwell we employ three amazing rangers who looks after thousands of acres of wild spaces, nature reserves, watercourses and mixed habitats. Their knowledge and commitment to protecting the special places in our Borough is second to none. Thank you Rangers! (Pictured above a locally rare Emperor Moth caterpillar captured by Ranger Matt)
